GBC Men: Tigers Baseball Game

What goes along with a baseball game? Yup a hot dog!

And what is better than a hot dog and a baseball game? You guessed it-- a Coney dog and a baseball game!

 

We are going to be setting out on July 15th at 4 pm to do two things:

1) Hangout as men and enjoy a Tigers game

2) Solve the Detroit mystery of who really has the best Coney dog (American v Lafayette) before the game. If you do not know anything about this Detroit history you can read it all here! (http://michiganjournal.org/2011/11/07/detroit-a-city-on-the-rise-lafayette-vs-american-coney-island/)

 

This event will be open to ALL GBC men, ages 5 to 100 but transportation will not be provided for this event. 

 

We do have two options for you.  If you would just like to go to the game with us and not solve one of Detroit's biggest mysteries of the Coney dog you are more than welcome to do that.  But, if you want to be in on solving this mystery we are going to be meeting at American Coney Island (114 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit) at 4pm. This will give us enough time to enjoy a Coney and fries at both places (They are right next to each other) and then walk over to the game (the game starts at 6:10).

 

You can park anywhere you would like but I think what a lot of us are going to do is find a parking spot close to Comerica Park and walk to American Coney (0.7 mile walk) and then after the game your car will be close to the park.  

 

We do ask that if you are interested in doing this you register and pay before June 28th so that we can go ahead and purchase the tickets in advance and get them to you. The cost is only $25!
