Short Term Mission Trips

They’re not just for teens anymore!

If you would like first-hand knowledge of how God is working through His church around the world, then check out Mission: S.T.A.T., the Short-Term Adult Trips ministry of Grace Bible Church. In the past, Grace has helped send adults on short-term trips to Mexico, Austria, Honduras, Czech Republic, and various locations here in the United States. We hope to make these trips an annual event so that more of our members have the chance to experience a different culture and be impacted by the enormous needs in other countries, both physically and spiritually!

In July 2007, 3 of our adults joined a group of 30 to work with Amazon Medical Mission in Peru.

In July 2008, a team of 4 adults and 2 youth went on a Short Term Adult Trip (S.T.A.T.) missions project to work at the Oak Hills Fellowship camp ministry in MN from July 11-20, 2008. See what God did through them in words and pictures in a day-by-day record at http://petercadams.blogspot.com/ including some historical photographs of Oak Hills camp dating back to 1947!

In 2009, a team of five cleared trails and painted a 100-year old home at the ELIM Retreat Center in Huron City, MI.

Another team went back to ELIM Retreats in Huron City in June 2010 and built a Prayer Shelter at the end of one of the trails cleared by the previous team overlooking Lake Huron!  Henry Stewart is currently recruiting a Service Team for May 2012 from our congregation.  This team would clean rooms, prepare meals, and listen/share with the guests during one of the retreats for missionaries who serve all over the world.  If interested, contact Gregg Schickling, any member of the Missions Committee, or call the Church Office.
