Luke 2:12 - "
And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger."
In an age dominated by myth, we look instead to be transformed by the parables of Jesus.
Go now, follow where Christ calls you
and proclaim the message God has given you. Wait in hope for God. Avoid becoming bound up in the business of the world, but live in readiness for the in-breaking of the Kingdom.
May the Father be your haven and your glory;
May the Spirit give you courage for the mission; And may Christ Jesus embrace your soul with peace.
We go in love and serve the Lord. Amen.
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us."
A series on the names and characteristics of God.
Creating the vast expanse of the universe, walking in the garden in the cool of
day, covenanting with an old man, and wrestling a younger through the night, calling a deliverer and prophet from a fiery bush while whispering to another in a still small voice … a voice that can melt the earth. Leading with a pillar of cloud by day and fire at night, toppling empires and raising up a shepherd king…
Who is this?
The God who is.
Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him." - Matthew 5:1 " Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." - James 1:27
The apostle Paul prayed some of the most radical and beautiful prayers in all of history. In this series we look at what we can learn from the way he prayed and who he believed the God he was praying to was.
Our 2017 Advent series. A study of Zechariah in the first chapter of Luke.
