As Christians, we are often familiar with the theme of adoption throughout scripture. Especially in the new testament, the emphasis on adoption is that we receive a new legal standing and relationship with God because he chose us to be full members of His family. (Romans 8:15-17) As brothers and sisters in Christ who have been accepted by God as His own
So, who is called?
All of us.
Not everyone is equipped to adopt a child but by His
Pray - Pray for the children who wait. (The average age to be adopted from foster care in the U.S. is 7 ½)
Give - Give support for orphan care from the abundance that God has given to you.
Support - Reach out to a foster or adoptive family and walk this journey with them.
Protect - Open your home and your hearts to children in crisis as a foster family.
Care - Open your home and hearts to a child in need of a forever family.
